My architectural designs are based on local architecture and are printed from my original paintings in Watercolour and acrylic. My hometown of Buxton is the inspiration for many of my artworks. I can regularly be seen sketching on location in the town looking up at the amazing architecture. Some paintings of local landmarks (Solomon’s temple and Buxton Opera House) are painted with a liberal splash of vibrant Watercolour and precise architectural details in ink pen. Other more complex designs (Cavendish arcade, designs on the Dome, Haddon Harlequin) are drawn with the precision of an architectural drawing and the colourful fun of a carnival, combining elements of the exterior and interior.
